New CDs are Available!

We just received the shipment of our new gospel CD, "It’s a Wonderful World"! The recording, mixing, mastering, artwork and packaging all went well and we are so pleased with the result! Hope our friends and fans will consider picking up a copy (or two) and sharing our music with a friend! Contact us by clicking the Contact tab or see us at a show. Soon to be available via iTunes and CDBaby as well!

We’re Back!

For those who don’t know, Keith had rotator cuff surgery in September and we’ve been on hiatus since then. He has been diligently working through his therapy regimen and we’ve started accepting bookings again. Stay tuned here for future dates and make sure to congratulate Keith on his recovery!

Heart's Home Acoustic

Next weekend we'll be at one of our absolute favorite venues at 6:30pm on Saturday, May 31. Hope to see you in the intimate setting at the beautiful Hearts Home Acoustic showroom in Boerne. If you're ever gonna come out to listen, Saturday nite at HHA is the time to come. The venue is beautiful, acoustics are perfect, and the setting is quiet and intimate with perfect sound. Hope you can make it.

Llano Bluegrass Festival

Wow! What a great turnout at the Llano Bluebell and Bluegrass Festival! In spite of some intermittant rain, we had a good crowd and enjoyed a warm response. As always, the sound by Jason James was perfect and we could hear everything on stage, which is no small feat for an acoustic band! The town square was filled with a variety of food and craft vendors and several great bands. We even saw long-time friends Bob and Jennifer Robison in the crowd. Talked to banjo legend Alan Munde but weren’t able to stay for his set. Make plans to make this one next year!

Gigs at Universal City and Comfort, Texas

Had a blast playing for the good folks at Universal City Baptist for Valentine's Day. The place was decorated beautifully, the food was delicious and our soundman was a real pro. Everyone was attentive and so receptive, especially when we played Red Foley's "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You". We even got some pretty good video clips of some of our new material, again thanks to Dale in the sound booth!

Playing for the St. Boniface Episcopal Pancake Supper was a blast, too. We got the sound system set up early and could hear everything clear and loud, which made it so much easier to play. The crowd was there for supper, but lots of folks stayed to listen after they finished eating and we had a very warm reception. We sold some CD's and distributed several cards to folks who are interested in having us play in the future! Thanks to Johnny Jones for the invite and to Caren Richardson for coordinating everything. We meet the nicest people through our music!

On the road in Comfort, Texas!

We had a great turnout at Fralo's on our Last Sunday of the Month gig at the end of January. It was extra cool to have a couple of super players in the audience, Lang Scruggs and Mark Maniscalco and their wives. Thanks to everyone for coming out! After playing some private gigs, we're ready to play at the St. Boniface Episcopal Church Pancake Supper on Tuesday, Feb. 12. Come on out and support the fundraiser and hear some live music in Comfort, Texas. Click the Gig Dates tab for info.

Last Sunday of the Month at Fralo's Pizza!

Lots of folks have asked how they can know where we're playing so they can make plans in advance. Though the best info is always posted here, we understand that some sort of regularity would be helpful! Thanks to Frank and Lori at Fralo's, you can now plan ahead and bring some friends out to hear enjoy bluegrass and great pizza! With the exception of April and May, we'll be playing Fralo's from 7:00-9:00 pm on the last Sunday of every month! Thanks to the Hakspiels for their vote of confidence. We've told them we've got lots of "fans" so now the pressure's on! Hope you'll join us!

Final Show of 2012

Just got in from playing our last show of 2012 at Old West Burgers. What a great venue and what a super crowd! Patty and I counted more than 32 people who came out specifically to hear us play! We are so blessed to have great friends who will come out on a relatively slimy night in December to support us and listen to live music. We saw friends from Southwest Texas in the 70's, former and current members from Wayside Chapel, our AC guy, friends from the San Antonio Choral Society where I used to serve as assistant conductor, some tennis friends, and many others. Now we're ready for a break from performing and some family time with the kids, who'll be home from Dallas in just one week. Merry Christmas and hope to see you in 2013!

This Friday @ Old West Burgers

Our next gig is a show at a brand new restaurant, Old West Burgers at 1604 & Blanco. Come on out for burgers and bluegrass and enjoy our last show for 2012!
