Keith Kimbell: Guitar, Banjo & Vocals
Keith Kimbell began playing bluegrass and gospel music with his family band in northern Louisiana. They traveled throughout Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas, appearing at bluegrass festivals, churches, and schools. Keith has performed with Josh Graves and Kenny Baker, Peter Rowan, Charles Sawtelle, Byron Berline, Tony Rice, Dan Crary and Alan Munde and has opened for Del McCoury, Ralph Stanley and Kitty Wells. He toured with fiddler Jana Jae of Hee Haw in 1980-1981 and has recorded several band projects and two solo guitar CDs. Previously a member of the Tennessee Valley Authority bluegrass band, he joined the Dyers to form Wires & Wood in 2009.
David & Patty Dyer: Mandolin, Bass & Vocals
David and Patty Dyer have played music together since they met in Glacier National Park in the late 1970’s. They founded the award-winning String Factory Outlet, frequenting festivals in Texas and Oklahoma during the 1980’s. In the 1990’s, they performed as the Dyer Family Band with their children, Matthew and Sarah, for parties, churches, weddings, conventions, and retirement centers. The duo recorded CDs with String Factory Outlet and the Dyer Family Band. A retired choral director, David spends his time building custom furniture/cabinetry (Dyer Custom Woodworking). They enjoy tennis and traveling and are grateful to God for the chance to play with Keith (the brother David always wanted!) and share their music through Wires and Wood.
